Interesting/Uncommon Baby Names Through the Years: 1910

 (This is a list of baby names I found on the top 1000 of the social security baby names' list. These names are names that I think are uncommon, unheard of or are ready for a comeback, and I think would be interesting to see on a baby today. All name meanings were found on behindthename.com.)

1. Leopold- number 842 in 1910, means "people" and "bold" and it is currently not in the top 1000 for 2014.
2. Thurston- number 779 in 1910, means "Thor's stone" and it is currently not in the top 1000 for 2014.
3. Orrin- number 698 in 1910, means "little pale green one" and it is currently not in the top 1000 for 2014.
4. Loyal- number 647 in 1910, it is a word name and it is currently not in the top 1000 for 2014.
5. Judson- number 506 in 1910, possibly derived from Jude and it is currently ranked 960 in 2014.
6. Theron- number 452 in 1910, means "to hunt" and it is currently not in the top 1000 for 2014.
7. Sydney- number 420 in 1910, it is a variant of the surname Sidney, which is derived place names meaning "wide island". It is currently not in the top 1000 for 2014.
8. Wilmer- number 331 in 1910, means "will, desire" and "famous". It is currently not in the top 1000 for 2014.
9. Gus- number 227 in 1910, it is a short form of Augustus or Angus. Augustus means "great" or "venerable" and Angus possibly means "one strength". It is currently not in the top 1000 for 2014.

In this post, I am going to talk about baby boy names that end in s and my obsession with them. I will be ranking these names on a scale from 1 to 10, 10 being a name I would love to use on my child and 1 being a name I would never use on my child.
