In this post, I am going to talk about baby boy names that end in s and my obsession with them. I will be ranking these names on a scale from 1 to 10, 10 being a name I would love to use on my child and 1 being a name I would never use on my child. (All name meanings were found on behindthename.com).
Popular S ending boys names:
1. James- This name ranks #5 in the top 1000 for 2016 in the U.S. It is an English name that is derived from the same root as Jacob. It is a classic, biblical name and it is easy to see why it is so popular. Ranking: 4
2. Lucas- This name ranks #14 in the top 1000 for 2016 in the U.S. It is a Latin form of Luke.

3. Thomas- This name ranks #48 in the top 1000 for 2016 in the U.S. It is a Greek name meaning "Twin". It is a biblical name and this is my dad's name. Ranking: 7
4. Charles- This name ranks #51 in the top 1000 for 2016 in the U.S. It is an English name meaning "Man". Every time I hear this name I think of Little House on the Prairie. Ranking: 7
5. Nicholas- This name ranks #63 in the top 1000 for 2016 in the U.S. It is English name meaning "victory of the people". I prefer Nikolai to Nicholas. Ranking: 5
6. Elias- This name ranks #93 in the top 1000 for 2016 in the U.S. It is a form of Elijah meaning "my God is Yahweh", which is an awesome meaning. Ranking: 8

1. Gus- This name ranks #999 in the top 1000 for 2016 in the U.S. It is a shortened form of a few names with several possible meanings. I have always loved Gus, this name brings to mind a lovable and sweet little boy. Ranking: 9
2. Jeremias- This name ranks #991 in the top 1000 for 2016 in the U.S. It is a form of Jeremiah meaning "Yahweh has uplifted". This name sounds cool and I love the biblical connection. Ranking: 8
3.Thaddeus- This name ranks #641 in the top 1000 for 2016 in the U.S. It is a Greek name with an unknown meaning. This name sounds like the name of a brave warrior to me. Ranking: 8
4. Anders- This name ranks #818 in the top 1000 for 2016 in the U.S. It is a Scandinavian form of Andrew meaning "Manly, masculine". I had never heard of this name until I took a look at the social security names list for this post. Although I do know a couple guys named Anderson. Ranking: 8
5. Silas- This name ranks #119 in the top 1000 for 2016 in the U.S. It possibly means "Wood, forest" and I have loved this name for a long time. Unfortunately, it is getting quite popular and I don't see it becoming unpopular anytime soon. Ranking: 9

Name of the Week

Ursa Ursa is the name of two constellations: Ursa Major and Ursa Minor. It means "Bear" in Latin. Ursa has never been in the top 1000 in the United States. It would make a great alternative to names like Ava, Ella, Leah, and Nora. I personally love this name. If anyone wants to you can comment below and tell me what you think of this name. 

New Names I am Loving Lately

These are names I have just recently fallen in love with and I thought I would share them with you! Girls: 1. Gwyna - I love the name Gwen/Gwyn but not on its own and I don't like the names that it is used as a nickname for. I was thinking about Gwen/Gwyn and just thought why not Gwyna.  2. Maewyn - I have liked this name for a while, but I have just recently started loving it. I love a good Mae name, because Mae names are beautiful and Mae is a family name for me. 3. Clara - I have always liked this classic name, but I find it much more charming and elegant than I did before. 4. Ida - It sounds so spunky, short and sweet. My grandmother's middle name is Idabell and this is would be a wonderful tribute to her. 5. Farren - I love girls' names that have the -Ren- sound in them and this name sounds very light and whimsical to me. Boys: 6.
