(This is a list of baby names I found on the top 1000 of the social security baby names' list. These names are names that I think are uncommon, unheard of or are ready for a comeback, and I think would be interesting to see on a baby today. All name meanings were found on behindthename.com.)

1. Casimer- number 914 in 1900, it is possibly a variant of Casimir meaning "to destroy" and "peace, world". It is currently not in the top 1000 for 2014.
2. Artis- number 907 in 1900, possibly related to Arthur possibly meaning "bear", "man", and "king". It is currently not in the top 1000 for 2014.
3. Cal- number 848 in 1900, it is a short form of Calvin meaning "bald". It is currently not in the top 1000 for 2014.
4. Gregorio- number 809 in 1900, it is a form of Gregory meaning "watchful, alert". It is currently not in the top 1000 for 2014.
5. Farris- number 804 in 1900, it is a variant of Ferris, which is a surname name meaning "descendant of Fearghas" and "ironsmith". It is currently not in the top 1000 for 2014.
