(This is a list of baby names I found on the top 1000 of social security baby names' list. These names are names that I think are uncommon, unheard of or are ready for a comeback, and I think would be interesting to see on a baby today. All name meanings were found on behindthename.com.)

1. Arla- number 997 in 1940, it has an unknown meaning, but it is possibly diminutive of Arlene. It is currently not in the top 1000 for 2015.
2. Joetta- number 984 in 1940, it is an elaborated form of Jo, which either means "Yahweh is gracious" or "He will add". It is currently not in the top 1000 for 2015.
3. Eldora- number 958 in 1940, it has an unknown meaning and it is currently not in the top 1000 for 2015.
4. Drucilla- number 945 in 1940, it is a variant of Drusilla possibly meaning "Strong". It is currently not in the top 1000 for 2015.
5. Zola- number 928 in 1940, it has an unknown meaning and it is currently not in the top 1000 for 2015.
6. Prudence- number 892 in 1940, it means "Prudence, good judgement" and it is currently not in the top 1000 for 2015.
7. Oleta- number 838 in 1940, it has an unknown meaning and it is currently not in the top 1000 for 2015.
8. Ilona- number 824 in 1940, it is possibly a Hungarian form of Helen which means "Torch" or "Corposant" (the meaning of the word corposant is hilarious, google it if you could use a laugh). It is currently not in the top 1000 for 2015.
9. Idella- number 818 in 1940, it is an elaborate form of Ida which means "Work, labor". It is currently not in the top 1000 for 2015.
10. Nila- number 759 in 1940, it means "Dark blue" in Sanskrit and it is currently not in the top 1000 for 2015.
