Gilead

Gilead is a biblical place name meaning "Monument of testimony". Gilead has never been in the top 1000 in the United States. Gilead sounds handsome and has "Gil" as a possible nickname. It would make a great alternative to Gabriel and other popular biblical names.

My Favorite Names

Girls: 1. Briley- I have loved this name for several years. Over the years, my top ten girls' names have changed a lot but Briley has always been number one. I think I love it because it is not common, but it sounds familiar, which is the perfect combination to me. 2. Lavender- I love this name because it sounds feminine without sounding too girly, it is not common and my favorite color is purple. My only hesitation with the name is that it is maybe a little too out there for me. 3. Jane- This name is simple and beautiful and has a wonderful meaning. My mom's name is Jan, so Jane is my way of honoring her. 4. Wren- I always picture a really kind, smart, quietly beautiful girl with this name. I have no idea why I love it.
